the road not taken...

The Road Not Taken

By Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Today I tried to travel to Sawanga NHS through PUJ. After parking my old reliable trike at Sorsogon NHS I walked brisly to Savemore Dept Store to catch the first trip to Sawanga. But its the second trip I was able to ride on. It took the PUJ almost one and a half hour to travel the 30 km distance. The funny thing is while on board and already passing by Gatbo I received a text telling me that there is a wellness orientation at the Cioty Hall Function Hall as requested by the City Mayor.
Upon arriving at the station I immediately checked the LP and the DLL and I wrote a memo for the submission of monthly reports and forms like DTR, Form 1 and 2, Updated list of officially enrolled students etc..Two boxes of science and math equipment were delivered today. At 10:45 I ate my lunch and left the station to go back to City HAll complex to attend the wellness orientation.
I thought it was about the wellness dance competition where SNHS won third place in the national level but it turned out that it was one of the pet projects and advocacies of the city mayor. We stayed until 5 pm and because I have to fetch our pupil JJ from SECS I asked my leave.
At the venue I also knew my partner school head of Sawanga ES who is also a neophyte like me groping in the dark...were in the same boat indeed...

Palm Sunday

twelve full moons  ...
  green palm leaves
       ashes on forehead.

(for editing...)
morning stroll at baywalk

azure stillness-
the sun plays hide and seek
                      with each boat's wake.

( just mesmerized by the reflection of the rising sun at the still blue waters of sorsogon bay disturbed by the passing boats)

from the haiku masters

  • Kojo
    Night, and the moon!
My neighbor, playing on his flute -
    out of tune!

    Kato, Shuson
    I kill an ant
    and realize my three children
    have been watching.

    • Murakami, Kijo. (1865-1938).
    • First autumn morning:
      the mirror I stare into
      shows my father's face

    • The moment two bubbles
      are united, they both vanish.
      A lotus blooms.

no closure
your heart in key chain,
calls... I cant turn on the key
                for we are not free...

life is a haiku...

morning breaks
immaculately,
a flock of herons alight
-dawn's ballerinas!

 going home
  frogs on my road home
      stared back at incoming light...
      oh, scarlet grass!

 child's play

 a spider wanders
     aimlessly,  in a matchbox...
     -waiting for his fight.

my wife dreams to be a rainmaker...

   a remote control,
             for playful rain is better
                  than water sprinkler...

nostalgia
   I stare, for what seems
            Like eternity, at your
                  cold, cold coffee cup.....

(with a little help from the teacher )
snail
       Though I’m slow, who cares,
I’m still much faster than still earth
…              racing in vast space.

Glass Door:
        Pressing on, blindly,
                   I recoil, like a ball...Oh..
                              A transparent wall.

well
Into the dark pit
          Tears fall, accelerating,
                 Ripples...then silence...
